Mitsubishi Materials Corporation Awarded Highest Rating for the Third Consecutive Year in CDP 2025 "Supplier Engagement Assessment"

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation("MMC") has received the highest rating of "A" for the third consecutive year and has been awarded the Supplier Engagement Leader in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP, an international NGO promoting environmental information disclosure, in recognition of its efforts to address climate change issues in the supply chain.

CDP 2025 Supplier Engagement Leader

CDP is an international environmental NGO founded in the UK in 2000 that operates a global environmental information disclosure system for companies and local governments. The SEA assesses how effectively companies collaborate with suppliers on climate change issues. Supplier Engagement Leaders are selected from those responded to CDP's Climate Change Questionnaire. MMC received an "A" rating in the "Climate Change" for the second consecutive year and an "A-" rating in the "Water Security" for 2025.

MMC Group has adopted "creating the future through resource circulation" as the basic policy in its Medium-term Management Strategy (FYE March 2027-2029) and, with the aim of building a business portfolio that contributes to the realization of a recycling-oriented society, is promoting business transformation centered on resource circulation and decarbonization. As part of these efforts, the Group is expanding initiatives to reduce GHG emissions throughout the supply chain for the target of reducing Category 1, 3, and 15 (*1) of Scope 3 (*2) emissions by 22% compared to the fiscal year ended March 2021 by the fiscal year ending March 2031.

In particular, for Category 1, which accounts for approximately 30% of the Group's Scope 3 emissions, MMC is advancing dialogue with suppliers of copper concentrates, its key raw material. Through this engagement, MMC and these suppliers mutually confirm concrete environmental initiatives — including GHG emission reduction plans — and promote effective reduction measures.

MMC Group has established "For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future" as Our Commitment, and is accelerating initiatives to achieve its sustainability targets.

Moving forward, MMC will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and the enhancement of medium- to long-term corporate value by addressing environmental challenges, including decarbonization across the entire supply chain.
