Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") has been awarded the Supplier Engagement Leader for the second consecutive year in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP, an international NGO promoting environmental information disclosure, in recognition of its efforts to address climate change issues in the supply chain.

CDP is an international environmental NGO founded in the UK in 2000 that operates a global environmental information disclosure system for companies and local governments. The SEA assesses how effectively companies collaborate with suppliers on climate change issues. Supplier Engagement Leaders are selected from those who responded to CDP's Climate Change Questionnaire. MMC received an "A" rating in the "Climate Change" and a "B" rating in the "Water Security" for 2024.

MMC Group implements various measures toward achieving carbon neutrality in the fiscal year ending March 2046. We work to reduce GHG emissions throughout the supply chain for the target of reducing Category 1, 3, and 15 (*1) of Scope 3 (*2) emissions by 22% compared to the fiscal year ended March 2021 by the fiscal year ending March 2031.
Specifically, MMC sends questionnaires to copper concentrate suppliers who are our suppliers of raw copper materials related to Category 1, which accounts for approximately 30% of our Group's Scope 3 emissions, based on their published reports on their efforts to address global environmental issues and their GHG emission reduction targets and plans, and receives their responses to engage in two-way communication. MMC also exchanges opinions through online interviews and is promoting efforts to reduce GHG emissions throughout the entire supply chain.
MMC Group established "For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future" as Our Commitment. MMC Group will continue to promote various initiatives to reduce GHG emissions to realize a decarbonized society.
