Efforts to Ensure Continued Supply of Certain Products in the Copper & Copper Alloy Products Business
- Conclusion of a technical assistance agreement with KITZ Metal Works Corporation -

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") is pleased to announce that, following the "Discontinuation of Manufacturing and Sale of Bar Products and ECO BRASS Forged Products in the Copper & Copper Alloy Products Business," announced on June 12, 2026, it has concluded a technical assistance agreement ("Agreement") with KITZ Metal Works Corporation (headquartered in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture, led by President Takaoki Nakajima, "KITZ Metal Works") to ensure the continued supply of certain products ("relevant products").

Under its Medium-term Management Strategy, the MMC Group is enhancing its business portfolio by shifting from volume to value. In the Copper & Copper Alloy Products Business, MMC is strengthening its business foundation by optimizing the product mix in light of changes in the market environment and demand structure and has decided to discontinue manufacturing and sale of bar products and ECO BRASS forged products, including the relevant products, in anticipation of future business development. Accordingly, MMC entered into the Agreement to support KITZ Metal Works in establishing a production system that will enable the continued supply of the relevant products.

MMC has established a cooperative relationship with KITZ Metal Works for many years as a manufacturing partner in its Copper & Copper Alloy Products Business. Under the terms of the Agreement, MMC will provide technical support relating to the manufacturing of the relevant products, and KITZ Metal Works will utilize this technology to build a production system for copper bars, special brass bars, ECO BRASS™ products, UH13 products and other related materials.

For products not covered by the Agreement, MMC will continue to provide customers with options that meet their needs by transferring production to its Group companies and proposing alternative products.

MMC will continue to enhance its business portfolio and shift to high-value-added products in accordance with its Medium-term Management Strategy, aiming to build a stronger business foundation and achieve sustainable growth.
