Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has been awarded the Bronze Prize in the Environmentally Sustainable Companies category at the 7th ESG Finance Awards Japan, sponsored by Japan's Ministry of the Environment.
The ESG Finance Awards Japan, established to promote and expand ESG finance, recognizes advanced initiatives taken by institutional investors, financial institutions, intermediaries, companies, and other organizations that have made an impact on society by actively engaging in ESG financing or environmental and social activities.

The Environmentally Sustainable Companies category is designed to show investors and companies specific examples of companies that incorporate responses to "key environmental opportunities and risks" into their management strategies, thereby producing positive environmental impacts while increasing corporate value.

The award was given in recognition of the consistency between our company's long-term vision to transform itself into a company focused on "circulating resources" and its initiatives to focus management resources on growth strategies, as well as the high degree of alignment between its E-Scrap (waste printed circuit boards from electronic equipment) processing capabilities, its proprietary processing technology (the Mitsubishi Process for continuous copper smelting), and its business growth strategies.

Mitsubishi Materials Group has established ‟For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future" as Our Commitment, and will continue to actively engage in ESG activities to achieve sustainable enhancement of corporate value.
