Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") established the Transition-Linked Finance Framework ("the framework") in November 2023 to promote our efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, and has been preparing to execute the Transition-Linked Loan based on the framework. (*1) Today, MMC concluded a financing agreement totaling ¥20 billion through the Transition-Linked Loan as follows. The performance-linked interest subsidies program (financial support for promoting the transition toward achieving a carbon-neutral economy) will be applied for the loan, and MMC was already selected as a recipient of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)'s FY2023 subsidy for global warming countermeasures promotion project.
MMC will promote our efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by utilizing the funds raised.
