Comparison with results for the same period of the previous year

  • As for copper, the copper concentrate processing volume at Naoshima Smelter & Refinery is scheduled to increase compared with the same period of the previous year. On the other hand, production at Onahama Smelter & Refinery is expected to decrease, as it plans to scale back its copper concentrate processing volume. As a result, total production is planned to decrease compared with the same period of the previous year.
  • As for gold, production is planned to decrease, mainly due to a reduction in the amount of anode slime generated during copper electrorefining at Onahama Smelter & Refinery. On the other hand, despite the decrease in anode slime, silver production is expected to remain at approximately the same level as in the same period of the previous year, owing to the composition of the raw materials.
