Mitsubishi Materials Corporation

Certified for the First Time as a 2025 KENKO Investment for Health and Recognized for the Second Consecutive Year
as a 2025 Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health (Large Enterprise Category "White 500")

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") has been certified for the first time as a KENKO Investment for Health, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
In addition, MMC has been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the 2025 Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health (Large Enterprise Category "White 500") under the Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health Recognition Program, jointly awarded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council).

The KENKO Investment for Health is a program that selects companies that are particularly outstanding among listed companies that strategically practice health and productivity management by considering the health management of their employees from a management perspective.
(53 companies in 29 industries were selected this year)
The Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health Program was established with the aim of creating an environment in which companies that practice particularly excellent health and productivity management can be recognized socially by employees, job seekers, related companies, financial institutions, and others, by "visualizing" them. The top 500 companies in the Large Enterprise Category are recognized as the "White 500."

MMC has positioned employee health management as a management issue. Since establishing the "The Mitsubishi Materials Group Health Management Declaration" in October 2020, we have established a health management promotion system headed by the Chief Executive Officer, and have been working with the Mitsubishi Materials Health Insurance Society to strategically promote health management.
In particular, from the fiscal year ended March 2024, MMC set three-year numerical targets for (1) high blood pressure, (2) diabetes, (3) smoking and (4) mental health, and will roll them out company-wide to work on systematically improving them. In addition, we are promoting a wide range of activities, such as addressing health issues specific to women and health issues related to older employees, heat stroke prevention, preventing overwork, providing opportunities for exercise (holding walking events, etc.), working to improve eating habits by setting up a month for increased vegetable intake, and proactive use of health checkup opportunities.
Furthermore, starting in the fiscal year ending March 2025, the Mitsubishi Materials Group has been strengthening and accelerating its health management promotion efforts, and eight Group companies have been certified as 2025 Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health.

In line with the concept of our Code of Conduct: [Safety First] "We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our stakeholders," we will continue to further raise the health awareness of each and every employee and work to enhance our Group's corporate value through initiatives such as the creation of vibrant and comfortable workplaces and health management measures.
