Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") was selected as a constituent of the "SOMPO Sustainability Index" for 2023, which was independently developed by SOMPO Asset Management Co., Ltd.

The index annually selects approximately 300 companies that excel in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives and is used for the company's "Sompo Sustainable Management", which invests broadly in companies with high ESG ratings. "Sompo Sustainable Management" is an ESG-focused investment product and is adopted by pension funds and institutional investors. In recognition of our ESG initiatives, MMC was selected as a constituent of this year's index.

MMC group has set out "Our Commitment" of "For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future". In order to achieve the "Our Commitment", we will actively pursue various ESG initiatives, including GHG emissions reduction and decarbonization, promotion of diversity and inclusion, and strengthening governance, and we will strive to disclose relevant information.
