Mitsubishi Materials has successfully achieved its first AA rating in the MSCI(*) ESG Ratings assessment.
This is an improvement from our previous A rating and is recognition that our Group's ESG initiatives are rated highly.

The MSCI ESG Ratings examine and analyze a company's environmental, social and governance-related initiatives and rate them on a seven-point scale from the highest rank of AAA to CCC, and are regarded as a global benchmark for ESG investment.

This assessment is recognition of our initiatives including our steady efforts in the environmental field, such as measures for greenhouse gases (GHGs), water stress and hazardous waste on which we are working. Our Group's corporate philosophy is "For People, Society and the Earth" and our mission is to contribute to the building of a "prosperous society," "recycling-oriented society" and "decarbonized society." We will continue actively engaging in ESG activities in order to continuously improve our corporate value.
