Participation in G20 EMPOWER to Expand Women's Leadership in the Field of Business

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has participated in G20 EMPOWER, a global alliance to accelerate women's leadership and empowerment.
G20 EMPOWER is a private sector alliance to increase the number of women who play a vital role in the economic and business field and achieve their empowerment. It is an organization agreed to at the G20 Osaka summit in 2019 and launched in earnest in 2020.
Promotion of active participation of women in decision-making and management, which is the goal of G20 EMPOWER, is one of the important initiatives in the activities relating to diversity and inclusion that we are advancing. Through sharing of information and learning among participating companies, we intend to further promote women's active participation in the company and strengthen diversity and inclusion activities.

G20 EMPOWER

<Mitsubishi Materials' initiatives>
We embrace diversity and acknowledge its importance in creating new value. We actively promote diversity and inclusion as a source of sustainable growth for our Group. We established a dedicated organization within the Human Resources Dept. in September 2021 and have positioned diversity and inclusion as an important pillar of human resources strategy.
We have set targets (number of managers) for the period to the end of fiscal 2026 not only for women but also for non-Japanese, mid-career employees, and employees with disabilities, and are working on various measures to achieve these targets.
