Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has made functional additions to its E-Scrap business platform "MEX" (Mitsubishi Materials E-Scrap EXchange).
Since operation began last December, "MEX" has enjoyed a very good reputation and has been used by overseas customers and other customers who were not readily able to use our platform. In response to requests from customers who use the platform, we have added the following two new functions to further improve convenience.
We will continue to enhance the functionality of "MEX" and aim to be an accessible partner for all customers in Japan and overseas, as well as further promote recycling of E-Scrap.

1. ① Online communication function to centralize communication
   We have communicated with customers by means such as e-mail and phone when confirmation from customers is necessary for E-Scrap processing. We have now added an online communication function ("Inspection Confirmation Request"), which allows those communications to take place on "MEX," our platform. This centralization of communication will facilitate improvement in work efficiency.
2. ② Paperless function to improve convenience
   When E-Scrap is received, we send a paper receipt to the customer by mail or give it to the transport company, which takes a few days before the receipt is delivered to the customer. The present functional addition allows an electronic receipt to be checked online at the point of our receipt of E-Scrap.
   (Issuing a paper receipt as has been conventionally done is also possible.)
   We will promote elimination of paper for documents required for trading other than receipts as well to improve customer convenience.
