Mitsubishi Materials Corporation
Mitsubishi Material Corporation has obtained certification for "DX Certified Operator" established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
The DX (Digital Transformation) Certification is based on "the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing." This national certification initiative certifies companies that are recognized as ready to promote digital transformation, and meet the basic requirements specified in the "Digital Governance Code" established by METI.
In April 2020, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation established the DX Management Office and CDO (Chief Digital Officer) and have been promoting our DX strategy (MMDX：Mitsubishi Material Digital Business Transformation). Based on MMDX action plan for 6 years from FY2021 to FY2026, we are currently implementing the 21 themes selected with such points as "Review the entire business process with a focus on 'get closer to customers'", "Create a foundation for catching up to competitors' efforts and winning on a global scale", and "Strengthen the management foundation by upgrading manufacturing excellence such as safety and security, enhancing business management and data utilization, and promoting business efficiency." We are also making various efforts including holding workshops for improving digital mindsets/literacy and developing DX human resource in order to strengthen the foundations of DX human resources.
In December 2021, we started the operation of "MEX" (Mitsubishi Materials E-Scrap EXchange), a new platform for the E-Scrap business, which is our first achievement of the Business DX in MMDX, and we will continue to steadily implement our action plan.
The vision of Mitsubishi Materials Group is to "become the leading business group committed to creating a sustainable world through materials innovation, with use of our unique and distinctive technologies" based on its corporate philosophy of "For People, Society and the Earth." Through digital transformation (DX), we will continue to pursue "Business added-value", "Business operations competitiveness", and "Management speed", and thereby realize our goal of being a leading company that provides high value-added products and services.
