Corporate Communication Magazine "WITH MATERIALS" Autumn Issue Published

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has published the autumn issue of "WITH MATERIALS," its corporate communication magazine.

This issue features "Evolving Copper" as the theme.
Mitsubishi Materials has set out Our Commitment of "For people, society and the earth, circulating resources for a sustainable future" as our target for 2030, and the path our company must follow to fulfill Our Commitment is shown in the Medium-term Management Strategy FY2031 (FY2031 Strategy) launched in April 2023. This issue focuses on "enhancing the supply of high-performance materials and products," one of the key business areas in the FY2031 Strategy. We introduce our initiatives to contribute to society through high-performance, high-quality copper products by leveraging our strengths in processing technologies that transform copper into copper alloys and oxygen-free copper. This issue also includes a roundtable discussion among employees from three manufacturing sites, where participants discuss ways to enhance collaboration among departments and locations and their aspirations to meet social expectations.

    Introduces Kurihara City in Miyagi Prefecture, home to Hosokura Metal Mining Co., Ltd., which handles the smelting and refining business as well as mine management in harmony with local communities

    Introduces an employee who believes in providing careful explanations in her own words to build relationships of trust with customers and expand overseas sales of new products
  • The Power of Materials Builds Society:
    Introduces a product of ours that boasts excellent abrasion and impact resistance, enhancing productivity through accelerated drilling in response to the mining industry's needs
  • The Secrets of Materials:
    Explains the secret of "sintering copper bonding material," which is ideal for attaching power semiconductors due to its high electrical and thermal conductivity and high melting point. It can be efficiently produced from copper powder, which has a lower melting point than solid copper
  • TOPICS:
    Introduces major topics from the July to September period
  • Forests and Materials:
    Introduces long-rotation forest management, where artificial forests are cultivated for more than twice the usual duration
