Establishment of an Accident Investigation Committee for the Accident at Yokkaichi Plant

An explosion and fire occurred on 9th January, 2014 at Mitsubishi Materials' Yokkaichi Plant. We offer our profound apologies for this disaster. We mourn the loss of lives by this accident and offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved families. We also extend our sincerest apologies to the people who were injured, as well as members of the local community, related authorities, customers and shareholders for the resulting inconvenience.
In relation to this accident, we announce the establishment of an accident investigation committee, with members of the academia and external specialists, to investigate causes of the explosion and fire accident at Yokkaichi Plant.
