Mitsubishi Materials Corporation ("MMC") was certified as a Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2024 (Large Enterprise Category "White 500") under the Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program as selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council).
The Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program is a program that recognizes outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts for health and productivity management based on initiatives for overcoming health-related challenges in communities or for promoting health-conscious activities led by Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council). In the Large Enterprise Category of this program, MMC had been certified as a Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization for two consecutive years from 2022, and MMC has now been certified for the first time as a "White 500" company, making us one of the top 500 enterprises.

MMC positions employee health management as a vital management issue, and "The Mitsubishi Materials Group Health and Productivity Management Declaration" was enacted in 2020. Furthermore, MMC has been strategically driving health and productivity management by establishing a health and productivity management system and formulating basic policies etc. headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Since 2023, with the aim of improving the health literacy among employees, MMC has set medium-term numerical targets for (1) high blood pressure, (2) diabetes, (3) smoking and (4) mental health as priority measures and rolled them out company-wide to work on systematically improving them.
In addition, MMC is working to improve the awareness of and sensitivity to health through activities such as taking up health issues specific to women and holding health seminars for older employees and, at the same time, MMC is offering various education and training programs to provide basic knowledge necessary to maintain health.
Furthermore, MMC also offers walking events to provide exercise opportunities, as well as promote a variety of health promotion initiatives by combining company-wide activities with those of individual offices.
