| Cement will remain an irreplaceable construction material in the 21st century. Recent years have seen demand increase for low-heat-generating cements that prevent cracks in massive concrete structures, high-strength concrete needed for high-rise buildings and other structures, and other high-performance cements offering low fluidity to help improve concrete construction work and other superior quality characteristics. Mitsubishi Materials develops and manufactures a range of high-grade products in these fields.
A solid international network complements our five domestic production bases. In China, we make and sell construction materials and cements in Yantai, Tsingtao, Lianyungang, and Hainan. We are also building a portfolio throughout the Pacific region that includes Vietnam, Singapore, and other parts of Southeast Asia, as well as operations in the United States, notably in California and Nevada.
